    When I heard the news that Isaac had passed, it just took my breath away. I performed in the same club (Club Laronde) with Isaac in Memphis, Tn. This is where he performed "By The Time I Get to Phoenix" before he recorded it. My band (Home Grown Funk) worked and recorded in his studio back in the seventies.

     

    From the time that I met Isaac he never let his super star status change him, he always remained the same caring, humble down home person he was from day one He will truly be missed not only by his family, but by all those who knew and loved him. I'm going to miss my friend "Bubba Lee".
