CNN PRODUCER NOTE     Philip Strickland, who shot this photo April 16 in his Fayetteville, NC neighborhood, says his street is completely blocked off, but people are still in good spirits. 'Nearly all of our tall pines are scattered across the neighborhood, powerlines lay in our front yard, and homes are devastated. The police have our neighborhood blocked off and no one (except emergency vehicles) can come in. If we leave we cannot return,' he says. 'We are, in a sense, trapped for now. Many people left and several who stayed wonder if their homes are structurally stable now. People are in good spirits and pulling together to help one another. We know we are gonna need help soon, but as the food thaws out we are just gonna have a BBQ in the street.'
