    Bonnets, Pets Rule NYC Easter "Parade"

    CNN PRODUCER NOTE     New York City's famed Easter parade, held on Fifth Avenue, has been a tradition since the Civil War days. sjunat55, a longtime Manhattan resident, takes photos at the event each year.

    Easter bonnets, Easter pets and Easter eccentrics paraded/strolled up and down Fifth Avenue in midtown Manhattan celebrating the traditional Easter "parade".

    The event is world famous and a unique New York experience.

    The parade, featured in the 1948 movie "Easter Parade",  was held on Sunday, April 24th.
