This iReport is part of an assignment:
Arches National Park |
Another (yawn) beautiful arch
While traveling with my family through the western part this great big beautiful land that I like to call "America", I try to make sure the kids are exposed to something besides the elements. We look for the wonders of God's natural beauty as we cruise in comfort in an SUV so big, that the front seat is often in a different time zone than the back. As one might well imagine, this baby is as thirsty as a desert mule, and at nearly $4.00 a gallon, petrol (as our good friends the British like to say) is a major expense. When our budget gets stretched to the breaking point, we look for one of those big, beautiful natural arches. Carved out by the natural erosion of American healthy eating habits, they dot the landscape even in the most out of the way places. This fine example featured double cheeseburgers for only $1.00 each. God Bless America!!
