Chancellor Peacock Informally Speaks at Appalachian State

CNN PRODUCER NOTE     guffeysa says, 'Students ran through campus starting at about 10 PM on May 1st. At some point, it was decided that the Chancellor's residence was the destination. Police forces were present, but cooperated - it was obvious that they were as excited about this happening as the students were. As we gathered on his driveway chanting "USA! We want Peacock!" he appeared, and instantly embraced a random student at the front of the crowd. In seconds, the Chancellor was on the shoulders of a few Appalachian students exclaiming the message recorded in the video.'
    - nsaidi, CNN iReport producer

Students celebrated throughout the streets of Boone, NC tonight as word spread of Osama Bin Laden's death.  As a crowd grew in front of Chancellor Peacock's house, he came out and shared a few words with his students. God Bless America!
