    CNN PRODUCER NOTE     Avtanski used data from three years of adventures to make this visualization of his travels. He used a Perl scrip to generate the frames based on GPS information, but he notes that the sounds are not based on the data. (He tried this but felt it gave the wrong effect.)

    I have a handheld GPS unit that I've been carrying with me on road trips and hikes for the last few years. This is animation of the tracking data the GPS had accumulated during all this time.
