Mississippi River flooding |
ok, so the water (Mississippi river) *is* a little high in New Orleans
The Mississippi river is high in New Orleans (it's 17 ft, at 18.5 ft. the Port of New Orleans gets shut down) but it was a beautiful day and everyone was outside.
Online, it's an entirely different story. On Facebook and Twitter, pleople here sound hysterical, they are talking about evacuating their (sure to flood) city.
Talk about "A tale of two cities".
