    CNN PRODUCER NOTE     Kevinp says making Mars the next space destination 'would spur all kinds of new technologies,' starting with 'more efficient space vehicles and ground-to-orbit systems to ferry construction into space.'

    If we really want to put ourselves to the test and I mean REALLY do something that would have long term benefits. We need to set our sites on sending humans to Mars!

     

    It might take a long time but the technology we'd develop int the process would open the entire solar system up to us and help us in the long run!
