    9/11 Commemorative Ship of Freedom

With the 7th anniversary of the September 11 attacks coming up soon, I would like to introduce to you the Nine-Eleven Commemorative Ship of Freedom©. This beautiful work of art was built by my father-in-law to honor the victims of the 9/11 attacks as a constant reminder of their heroism and bravery on that sad day. Everything on the ship is made entirely by hand. All of the wood has been hand carved, the sails were hand painted and sewn, the rope work was all tied by hand and includes working pulleys. There is no blueprint for this artwork, the design was a vision of the artist. The ship is nearly 13 feet long, 8 feet tall, and 4 feet wide. The ship has copyright status so it is definitely a one-of-a-kind, there is only one in the world. The ship has a table with the flags of all members of the World Trade Organization (pictured) and the ship also has a podium with a hand carved binder (pictured) that displays an original poem by my mother-in-law, and the names of all of the victims of the September 11 attacks. For more pictures and information, please visit http://www.maritimevisions.com. There you will find several more pictures, including pictures of other ship creations also made by my father-in-law.
