Oahe Reservoir in SD Filling Up

South Dakota is experiencing unprecedented flooding on the Missouri River, the most extensive since the series of dams were put on the river in the 1950s and 60s.  This aerial photograph taken by the South Dakota Wing of the Civil Air Patrol shows just how full Oahe Reservoir north of Pierre is.  The SD Civil Air patrol is flying daily sorties for the State of South Dakota and FEMA, taking geotagged photos of areas just upstream and downstream from the four Missouri River dams.
