This was my daughter and her college friend’s first road trip. They video blogged the trip, see the above URL. The girls just completed their first year of college and drove the eastern seaboard. We (both sets of parents) were a little worried, but we were nurturing their independent spirits. Oh yeah, I gave them my nice car – to make sure they were safe.
It was interesting for me to watch, because I saw how young eyes still see things --some naivety, enjoyment of american way of life, and lots of fun. They seemed to be two friends searching for their independence and their voices. I support that. I am Gaby’s mom.
