This iReport is part of an assignment:
Have you seen Bigfoot? |
I want to believe
Well, not quite. I am of the firm belief that in a time of scientific discovery and "turning everything into math" there will always be people who have a need to explore the unexplainable - simply because they cannot deal with a world which reduces them to simple biological entities.
So, does bigfoot exist? Probably not, "we" would have found him and "explained" him. But, does that rule out that he does indeed exist? Also, probably not.
Humans are curious. We explore ideas, simply because they MIGHT hold some truth. 0.001% chance of a discovery? One in a millionth chance?
It doesn't matter. For humans it is the quest for fame (if I have to put it negatively) og the quest for knowledge - which I believe (hope) is most often the case that drives most quests into the unknown.
I cannot think of a world, where humans will not pursue the unknown.
