    Lightning over Boston

CNN PRODUCER NOTE     jimclouse said the storm started as the sun was setting yesterday. 'Shortly before the sun set completely, the clouds began flashing,' jimclouse said. 'As the storm neared, the lightning intensified, lighting up the sky nearly once a second. At first, it was only flashes of light that could be seen, but as the storm made its way into the Boston suburbs, distinct bolts began to show on the horizon. The storm intensified and bolts of lighting continued to strike all around, hitting nearly every building in downtown Boston.'
    - ccostello3, CNN iReport producer

Lightning strikes downtown Boston as the last of the severe thunderstorms angrily heads out to the ocean after spawning tornadoes earlier in the day in Massachusetts.
