Tbilisi, Georgia demonstrations
Demonstrations against Russian action and in support of Georgia in front of the Parliament in Tbilisi, Republic of Georgia. President Saakashvili was among the speakers addressing the crowd of an estimated tens of thousands. The demonstrations, the largest since the start of the war, took place in the hours around the signing of the initial six-point ceasefire on August 12, 2008. These pictures were taken by Avery Schmidt.
