F-16 Crashes into House in Wisconsin
An eye witness who lives said one of them crashed into a house and exploded. She reports the woods are also on fire, with police and fire trucks coming from everywhere. Uncertain IF they collided but one plane did stall and crash. The pilots did eject from the plane. Video link is posted below.
PRESS RELEASE: Air National Guard pilot safe following aircraft accident
A pilot from the Madison-based 115th Fighter Wing of the Wisconsin Air National Guard is safe after ejecting from an F-16 fighter jet over Adams County at approximately 1:20 p.m. today (June 7) during a routine training flight.
The pilot has been recovered south of the town of Chester in Adams County and is being medically evaluated. The aircraft has been located in the town of Chester. Emergency responders are on the scene to secure the aircraft.
An Air Force investigating team has been requested to determine the cause of the accident.
The Adams County Sheriff's Department has confirmed that a military aircraft crashed between Oxford and New Chester.
That is located north of Highway 82, just west of Interstate 39.
The plane was flying from Volk Field.
It is not known how many were aboard the aircraft.An eyewitness said the crash occurred near Oxford Federal Correctional Institution, on County Road G.
The eyewitness also reported that prison officials were the first on the scene.Volk Field is sending emergency units to the scene, and all available fire and rescue units in the area are heading to the scene.
