    Puerto Rican Day Parade-NYC 1

CNN PRODUCER NOTE     RVCFOTO was one of the scores of people who lined 5th Avenue in New York City on Sunday to see the colors and celebrations at the Puerto Rican Day Parade. It was like 'it was one big party with singing and dancing and very loud cheering,' she said.

What can you say about the Puerto Rican Day Parade --Wepa --one big party on 5th Avenue in New York. It was estimated that about 1million people were there as spectators and participants.

The parade started with most of the usually suspects, local politicians along with the Governor of NY Andrew Cuomo. This years the parade celebrated GOYA in their 75 years of foundation and services. The theme was to celebrate the natural beauty of Puerto Rico and also dedicate the hometown of Cabo Rojo in Puerto Rico

Grand Marshalls were the Presidents of Goya Robert Unanue and Carlos Unanue. Actor and comedian John Leguizamo was the Global Ambassador to the Arts and the Kings of the Parade—El Gran Combo, legendary Salsa music ensemble. Even Cardinal Timothy Dolan came out to great and watch the parade.

After 6 hours of picture taking, I headed back to my car barely able to walk but it was all worth it. Hope you will enjoy the photos especially the children and as with most parades the pets all dressed up.
