Creationism Credit? Give me a break!

UCLA I applaud your spine.  Stand up and exercise your right to say "no" to the bullies of the Religious Zealot following.

No!  You cannot have EQUAL credit for less work.  No!  You cannot be "excused" from degree requirements because you desire a subpar education.

What you choose to do with your EXTRACURRICULAR time and with your Elective courses is entirely up to you.  But don't you dare suit there and cry because a legitimate school wants you to take the same classes required of ALL students.  "Intelligent Design" is just a glossed over way of saying Creationism.  It's NON scientific and based wholly on faith and philosophy.

Look up the definition of FAITH sometime (that is, if you can read something besides the Bible for once).  You may find that to have "faith" in something is to believe in it WITHOUT proof.  Stop trying to justify your religion with science and just believe in it.  If you need that much "proof" to back up your claims, then perhaps you should consider changing religions.

Creationists are not allowed any more than Scientologists to force their screwed up religious views into public classrooms.  That's the ENTIRE reason we have private schools.  So people like you can get your little glossed over fake versions of history and physics and the rest of us can keep society moving FORWARD.  What's next?  You wanna teach your pathetic version of Health class that tells kids sex is evil and abortions are murder?

No, you can't.  It's called "Separation of Church and State."  This means anything I pay for from my taxes cannot be muddled up by your personal OPINION on where we came from, where we go when we die or which medical care is approved by your idea of what God is.

Think about this.  If any religion could suddenly decide that THEIR version of factual events should be held on equal standing with real fact, then what's to become of science and history classes.  Will the Pope decree that the Crusades be stricken from the History books?  Can the Jews just erase the Holocaust and pretend it never happened?  You can't erase the Dinosaurs and Carbon Dating from Geology class.  Just deal with it.  Pick another major or stay out of PUBLICALLY FUNDED schools.
