Red tide phenomenon in Los Cabos
A red tide phenomenon has killed tousands of fish on a ratio from Cabo San Lucas to the beaches North of San José del Cabo in the area known as Cabo del Este.
This happens since last friday. Local authorities are asking the population not to approach dead fish until they determine if they are harmful.
Scientists make dead fish studies to determine the causes of red tide, but not yet been determined if the fish are a danger to the population.
The dead species are known locally as huachinangos, cabrilla, lisas and blow fish.
