Are you on the 'No-Fly' list?

    TSA No Fly List

I just read the article by Drew Griffin and Kathleen Johnston about the name James Robinson being on the TSA list (http://www.cnn.com/2008/US/08/19/tsa.watch.list/index.html). My name too is James Robinson and I have had the same experiences as reported in the article. Everyone should read this article as it speaks volumes about the shear incompetence displayed by TSA, the company entrusted with protecting the traveling public. TSA is not checking for terrorist by age, race, or any intelligent category, but checking the order of alphabet letters. As if a terrorist wouldn't slightly modify their name so that they wouldn't get flagged by the system. What an incredible waste of effort (and your tax dollars) wouldn't you say? Something not brought up fully in the article is the Travel Redress Inquiry Program (DHS TRIP). This is nothing more than a pacification program that offers zero results for those that have experienced problems. I have submitted several issues through this vehicle with no success. And not once was I able to talk to a live person for redress. I would love to see CNN dig deeper into this useless program. The public would be outraged and shocked. Let's face it, the system needs to be revamped. Failure to do so is criminal and a disservice to the traveling public (not to mention an unnecessary and frivolous burden on tax payers).
