Kentucky Hot Browns
We live in Kentucky, and our favorite classic Kentucky dish by far is the Hot Brown. Invented in Louisville at the Brown Hotel, the Hot Brown is a toasted sandwich that's filled with ham and/or turkey and smothered in a rich cream sauce. Then it's topped with tomatoes, bacon, and cheddar cheese and broiled until bubbly. It's so amazingly wonderful!
This dish is amazing any time of year, but we really like it after Thanksgiving -- it's a great way to use up turkey and ham leftovers!
