I am one of millions of devoted Dave Matthews Band Fans.   Like many other groups that have an amazing LIVE show that is never the same - it becomes an obession & a hobby.  An escape from the 9-5pm cube-land you exist in the rest of the year, at least for me it is.

Its also a nastalgic thing: I started going to DMB concerts since my sophomore year @ Michigan State- I have endless memories of driving across the country to see ONE more show- spending all of my extra income on shows.

The Dave Matthews Band is a group of individuals that are so highly talented and there never seems to be drama- just beautiful music - they are not afraid to venture outside of the existing structure of a song and they take the audience on rides that are just exhilarating & emotional.

For me, I have driven, taken planes, cancelled plans, and spend a great deal of dough just to see the group.  I have even turned down jobs because they conflicted w/ my DMB concert going schedule.

I remember the first time I saw them - I was a sophomore in college and from that moment on- I couldn't get enough.

LeRoi will be missed immensely.  A huge talent that quietly held the songs together w/ his saxophone and his arrangements.

This is a very sad time for the band, crew, and all of the fans.
