unbrokenheart supports "The American Widow Project"
unbrokenheart is a gift of healing, a broken heart, mended by hand with a strand of 14k yellow gold. The gold mending represents the hope for healing that every broken heart will need. Over the last ten years, we have been involved with many charitable organizations, and tried to help whenever we can. There are so many different kinds of broken hearts, that it has been somewhat overwhelming deciding where and when our donations, of time, money or unbrokenhearts, can serve the most good.
In the past year, we have become aware of The American Widow Project. This incredible organization was founded by Taryn Davis, a widower at only 22 years of age. Taryn lost her husband, her soul mate and best friend in an IED bombing in Iraq. Not only was she heartbroken and devastated, but she was overwhelmed to find the lack of resources available to her. She began the American Widow Project, and in the last three years, she has raised thousands of dollars, and needless to say, helped thousands of women, men and families who have made the ultimate sacrifice as they lost a loved one to a war overseas.
Please visit the website, www.americanwidowproject.org, and you will be able to see all of the work she, and this amazing organization, are doing. However, they need our help. I believe that it is our responsibility to pay attention to the survivors of those who voluntarily chose to sign up, serve and ultimately lose their lives, protecting our freedom. Please visit the website, take the time to read the stories of these brave women, men, children and families who have paid such a high price for all of us. If you visit unbrokenheart and make a purchase, please use coupon code AWP15, you will receive 15% off of your purchase, and The American Widow Project will receive a donation from us. This is only one of the ways we are trying to help, please join us in letting them know that we care.
