    ComEd Outage - Northern Illinois

    CNN PRODUCER NOTE     Mitch123 was without power for nearly two days following the severe storms that recently rocked northern Illinois. The local power company estimates that some areas won't have service restored until as late as Friday. Fortunately, the power outage didn't stop this tech-savvy iReporter from uploading this report: 'I am writing this email on my laptop, connected to my wifi on my iPhone 4,' he said. 'I just called ATT and enabled personal hotspot feature on my iPhone 4. It works great in emergencies like this.'

    ComEd reports over 800,000 at one time without power in northern Illinois. Submitting via IPhone. I can't sleep due to heat. Generators sold out in 50 mile radius. Water and ice selling out at Walmart. This is one of the largest outages in this companies history. They are even calling in other states to help.
