This iReport is part of an assignment:
Should U.S. lower drinking age? |
Drinking age was 18 thirty years ago
When I was 18 I could buy alcohol in NY. Binge drinking was the main reason to drink, as everyone wanted to get "buzzed." This seems to be a "right of passage" for all young people no matter what generation. Popular culture has perpetuated the binge with movies like Animal House, American Pie and countless others. Lowering the drinking age will not stop this practice. I do support lowering the age to 18 again.
