    Cultural Census Read Aloud

CNN PRODUCER NOTE     fall3n, from Charlotte, North Carolina, says, 'I find it amusing when I get that confused look when I explain that I am a southern girl. [...] I always end up saying "ya'll" or something to that effect so that they can hear it. My country accent usually comes out when I am speaking excitedly.'

She believes that living in a college town with many different cultures, as well as working in a 'corporate environment' for 15 years has influenced her accent. 'I find my pronunciation to be more exact than it was, say 20 years ago,' she says.

When the sunlight strikes raindrops in the air, they act as a prism and form a rainbow. The rainbow is a division of white light into many beautiful colors. These take the shape of a long round arch, with its path high above, and its two ends apparently beyond the horizon."
