    Synthetic Research Chemicals- New Meth?

    Dr. Pinsky,

I have done quite a bit of local research about the products being sold here in Northwest Florida. They sell them as potpourri or herbal incense, clearly labeled to be free from any illegal chenicals and only to be sold to 18 or older. These chemicals are sprayed are on whatever plant offers leaves close to pot. These are  powerful, highly intoxicating products. Not for the recreational drug user.

Then there is the synthetic meth or cocaine or exctasy. Sold as plant fertilizer. These are also research chemicals, so close to the real thing that people are hooked quickly.

My question is , is this just a local problem here? Why do I never hear about how strong these chemicals are and we need to be shouting loud to our kids to steer clear of anything that is being sold this way.

Also, why are these chemicals being allowed to be packaged in China then shipped here? What IS this stuff anyway?
