Same Sex Marriage First Day Brings Out Love...and Hate in NYC

CNN PRODUCER NOTE     The temperature rose to over 90 degrees in New York City this Sunday, July 24, but the hottest place to be was the City Clerk's Office in Lower Manhattan, where hundreds of couples formed a line around the block waiting for their turn to marry. Today, starting at midnight, same-sex couples in New York State became elegible to obtain marriage licenses and 'tie the knot.' sjunat55, who shares these photos, tells us, 'The line went around the building and to the other side of the block. All those people were selected by lottery and were waiting to get married.'
    - elchueco, CNN iReport producer
