Dear Vets!
As yo know, during the Soviet time the men had to go through te compulsory miltiary training. Even in our secondary school some of the training was in English, because you no, who was the enemy no 1 for SU.
But, even I received the "title" lieutenant, I was mach mor threatened by KGB, who kept an eye on me. I was accused of reading Russian dissident books. Some of my friends were sent into GULUG "acclaimed" for anti-soviet activity.
Added picture is simple Soviet army quite uncomfortable transport (amphibe) that we had to on the water. It sank without our help.
