Utter Calamity
- jmsaba, CNN iReport producer
I'm so dismayed at our elected officials and the pure lack of responsibility that they continue to ignore. I'm fed up with the poor and middle class taking it in the shorts when our elected officials panic over the wrong decisions they continue to make and then make another wrong decision by dipping further into our pockets or by cutting programs that were implemented to help us. None of our elected officials know the hardship of having to sqeek by payday to payday. Forget about a savings account or pension plan. We simply cannot do it. We worry about paying the bills and keeping a roof over our heads, food in our bellies. While our elected officials dine on fourty dollar steaks, we eat hot dogs. The unemployment rate in this country is embarrassing, the homeless rate is appauling, and the American public is pissed. Yet we watch our elected officials fight each other like children in a schoolyard. It's ludicrous. It appears that no one knows who's in charge. The COLA adjustment has been axed, but our elected officials damn sure get their raises every year without fail. That's the first thing we should do. Cut their pay raises. That should be a good start. Also, get rid of these stupid branches of government that serve no purpose but to suck taxpayers hard earned money. Stop giving freebies to illegal aliens that suck us dry. Close our borders. We have too many people coming into this country that think they can get something for nothing. I, for one, am tired of paying for it. Get government spending under control. It's way out of control and not being regulated. Give the power of the government back to the people. Stop waisting our time and stop screwing us.
