Baghdad, Iraq

This iReport is part of an assignment:
War in Iraq: 5 years later |
Soccer Time
I was in my way from Baghdad Airport to the city. Today is March 27th, 2008 and in Iraq already 34 weeks, since few days ago I was instructed to wear bullet-proof vest and kevlar helmet for any outdoors activity as walking to eat or to work from living quarters due to the actual security condition.
But a soccer game on the middle of this large road, that links the airport with the city, took place around 3 pm; for sure as a way to relax in a heavy day of work; but it is ironic to see people relaxed in the most tense day of my assignment here.
