    London Riots - Ealing

CNN PRODUCER NOTE     loumorgan says she went out at 7 a.m. today to take pictures of the aftermath of riots last night in Ealing, a suburb of London. She went to a couple of shopping areas not far from her home that she visits on a regular basis. This photo shows burned-out cars being taken away from the scene. loumorgan says that after just three hours of cleanup, the area started to look almost normal, except for boarded-up windows. She says there was an almost 'restrained' response that felt a bit surreal. 'People locally are just appalled ... it's a nice area. people get on. it's just a good example of London life, really.'
    - nsaidi, CNN iReport producer

The aftermath of last night's rioting in Ealing, West London. Whilst the centre of Ealing lives up to its' image as a leafy middle class affluent suburb, Ealing is a vast borough, the size of a small city with complex demographics and the same social issues as other London boroughs.

The destruction is shocking and unprecedented, no regard for people's lives and livelihoods.
