This iReport is part of an assignment:
Masai Mara National Reserve: African safari |
Up close and personal with cheetahs
After participating in the 2011 Safaricom Marathon at Lewa Downs, we flew down to the Mara and spent the next serveral nights at Governor's Camp. During one game drive a cold-front moved into the area, preceeding a large rain storm. As the temperature dropped, we ran across this coalition of cheetahs who decided the hood of our Land Rover would serve as a nice source of warmth. Three of them sat on the hood for close to 20 minutes before they moved on.
