Masai Mara National Reserve: African safari

    More from mcfrancia

    "Do not cross the line."

Buffaloes on defensive stance - a huge herd of African buffaloes stand guard over their turf at the Masai Mara.

African buffaloes are mean-tempered and will not hesitate to use their horns. More people are gored and killed by African buffaloes than by lions or other big predator.

No African safari is complete without having spotted and photographed Africa's Big 5 - the African buffalo, the lion, the leopard, the hippo, and the rhino.

We stayed at the Siana Springs Tented Camp.
