Twitter "Mind Read" The Obama and McCain Campaigns

Twitter "Mind Read" The Obama and McCain Campaigns Rick Sanchez and other CNN reporters are now incorporating Twitter.com as part of their CNN news programs with wonderful results. Many might think, "Who gives a twit?" but to me, Twitter is a great micro-blogging tool that adds a lot of value and viewer interaction. Twitter also provides uncanny insight into the minds of people who post tweets to Twitter. Though there may be room for interpretation, none-the-less, it is fodder for interesting discussions. Especially in politics! As an internet marketing strategist, I'm fascinated with an intriguing tool called Tweetstats.com. In fact, it seems almost psychic; though the results it generates are 100% statistical and based on the actual posts one makes to Twitter - no less, no more. Look at the Twitter charts and TweetClouds in this iReport and see if you gain any insights into the political presidential candidates. QUESTIONS TO PONDER... 1) What pops out at you in these TWEETCLOUDS? 2) Why does McCain's cloud mention Obama, but Obama does not mention McCain? 3) On what days and hours do these political campaigns post and why? 4) Why does Barack Obama have 64,891 followers? 5) Why does John McCain have 1,625 followers? 6) Why does Barack Obama have no Twitter favorites bookmarked? 7) Anything curious about the 5 favorite Tweets McCain has bookmarked? 8) Why does McCains Twitter say "Not the official campaign"? 9) Which candidate is tapping into social media technology best? > Follow John McCain on Twitter: > http://twitter.com/JohnMcCain2008 > > Follow Barack Obama on Twitter > http://twitter.com/BarackObama > > Follow Rick Sanchez on Twitter: > http://twitter.com/ricksanchezcnn > > Follow me, Dan Hollings at: > http://twitter.com/dhollings Explore these Twitter Stats & TweetClouds LIVE at: http://tweetstats.com/ Barack Obama http://tweetstats.com/graphs/barackobama http://tweetstats.com/graphs/barackobama#tcloud John McCain http://tweetstats.com/graphs/johnmccain2008 http://tweetstats.com/graphs/johnmccain2008#tcloud
