CNN PRODUCER NOTE     konacraig says "Mongolia is going through a lot of change due to major coal and iron ore discoveries in the south causing many of the nomadic herders to give up their way of life for other economic opportunities."
    - tyson, CNN iReport producer

Starting in Ulaandaatar we spent 2 weeks in 2011 traveling throughout Mongolia.   From the Gobi Desert in the south to the northern border with Siberia we saw wild camels, wild horses, slept in Gers and saw thousands of Yaks.   We sampled camel yogurt and were treated to foods we have never experienced.   Mongolia is a must see country but be prepared for rustic accommodations and really friendly people.    The country is going through a boom in mining and with this brings money and improved infra structure.
