Gold Medals to USA, NBC and China
The 2008 Beijing Olympic Games may have ended tonight, but will be remembered always. The USA wins the Gold Medal for winning the most medals during the two weeks in China and of course providing the superstar of these games, 8-time Gold Medalist swimmer Michael Phelps. NBC did a tremendous job of covering the exciting and extensive events, and diverse athletes, with class and integrity. Last, but not least, China put on an extraordinary display of beauty, talent, and effort making the 2008 Olpymics very safe, fun, and memorable, raising the bar for future Olympic host countries very high. Will these games unify the world and lead to more peace and less war? Only time will tell. But weren't they a nice break from the controversy and bad news we usually get 24/7? I would say so.
