sources for population growth issue in Nigeria

To understand the issue of population growth in Nigeria and its impact on the development of the country, I have decided to interview officials of two government parastatals in the federal capital city of Abuja. The first official will be from the National population commission. I chose this agency  in order to give more understanding about the population issue of Nigeria.

The second agency, the Federal Capital Developement Authority is an agency which deals primarily with the development of the capital city. By interviewing an official of this agency, I believe more light will be shed on what plans the Nigerian government has to accomodate more of its citizens that migrate to the city. It will also highlight the challenges the government faces in the areas which were originally meant to be parks but have been converted to residential areas where illegal buildings are erected to cater to the immigrants in the city.

The last source of my project will be the ordinary masses as Mr. Neal Piper suggested. He was indeed right in suggesting that I interview locals to humanize my story because in the end, it is the personal experiences of everyday people in the news that helps in driving home the message or point of a report.
