Big Paella for 5000 persons in Mislata Festival
A big Paella for 5000 persons was realized yesterday 25 August 2008 in Mislata Festival. Clavarios Santisimo Cristo Fe Association organised this festival from 1982. This year the festival started 24 August and they will finish 1 september. Many acts will be celebrated during these days whiches Clavarios Santisimo Cristo Fe Association and Clavarios Virgen Nuestra Sra Angeles Association works to celebrate this Festival . In 2008 Clavarios Santisimo Cristo Fe Association made a big Paella for 5000 persons.They usually make this Paella from 1975, when the town hall can't pay the festival and Clavarios Santisimo Cristo Association wanted keep this Festival which is honour Crist of Fe. In this Festival there are many acts which the big Paella is one of the most popular and gastronomic act. Before they started to make Paella they have dinner and after about 22.45 they started to make it and they finished about 01.30 in the mornig.At the same time there was a musical spectacle which it made shorter the time of waiting to get the free Paella and Beer. The Paellas was made by 3 or 4 persons and this year they have a special collaboration from Jose Vicente Juan (Nickname: "El Tinte") was one of the member of this association which later on he left but he was the chef of this Paella during many years and Mr. Miguel , chef Army Hospital Valencia teach to him to make it, but also I have to say that all the member of the association help in each moment they need to make a Big Paella. The Paellero weights 1500 kg and his diameter 4,20 centimetres. In this Paella they used 5000 plates, 5000 spons, 50 kg snails, 440 kg chicken, 220 kg Rabit, Green Beans(Judias Verdes), White Beans(Garrofó- Judia Blanca), 400 kg rice, 1 kg saffron, 3 kg red pepper in pwoder, 20 kilos salt,40 kg tomatoes, Oil 90 litres, Wood 1400 kg, fireworks to start Paella -30 metros,Petrol 8 litres, Rosemary and 500 litres of water.To make a properly Paella you should do: First,Put salt, Put Oil, fry the chicken, fry The First Biggest Paella made in Spain was realized by Clavarios Santisimo Cristo Fe Association in Mislata in 1972 and it was made for 2500 persons, but 10 years later, in 1982 they made a Big Paella for 5000 persons and from this year until 2008 they haven't stopped to make the Paella for the town which it has got 40000 persons living.Too, I would like to say thank you so much to the President of Crist Clavarios Santisimo Cristo Fe Association , Mr.Pepe Montañana, Francisco Rico Angosto, oldest membership of Association and Mr.Ximo, another member of Crist Clavarios Santisimo Criosto Fe Association whose help to me to make this report.For ending this report I must to say that Paella is a traditional dishes of Valencia which is cooking on Sunday with family and friends and it is the most international well-know dishes in the world. At now you can enjoy the paella in this report.
