    Hurricane Irene turns Dog Park into Rat Park

    CNN PRODUCER NOTE     JoshRachlis says he often has a comedic take on the world. Of this video, he noted, 'On the night of Hurricane Irene, I wanted to evacuate from the apartment I was staying in. My friend said we should stay put. She won. But I wanted to walk around and at least see what was going on. We filmed our walk. It got steadily more rainy and windy as the night went on. My umbrella was ruined from the wind. I walked around the morning after the hurricane and saw some damage in a dog park, so decided to take out my camera. As we were filming, we noticed rats, and that became the story.'

    I started to report on how Hurricane Irene affected a NYC dog park, thinking it was just tree damage, and discovered it had become a park for a whole new kind of animal - Rats!(Apologies for the audio quality. I think the storm the night before ruined the camera's mic.)
