    New York Muslims commemorate 9/11 with blood drives

    CNN PRODUCER NOTE     ahmadc22 interviews volunteers and passers-by at the Muslims for Life blood drive in Manhattan's Union Square. He says, 'It was a beautiful day and the blood drive collected about 131 bags of blood in just a few hours. [...] This blood drive was part of a larger campaign throughout the country including blood drives at Capitol Hill where several [Congress members] donated blood.'

    New York Muslims come together to donate blood and get their fellow New Yorkers to donate blood in memory of 9/11.  The Muslims for Life (www.muslimsforlife.org) campaign hopes to raise 10,000 bags of blood to honor the victims of 9/11.
