Paris: Techno Parade 2011
This year the Techno Parade (*) has covered about 5 km through the streets of Paris from Place de la Republique to Place d'Italie.
The parade was called 'Indépen'danse' and particularly dedicated to the newfound freedom in Tunisia (wiew 01)
More more than 300,000 people danced in the streets on the music of 16 sound systems mixed by 120 Djs.
Several celebrities attended the event including Jack Lang, former Minister of Culture (view 09) who lanched it and ... Papy Dance (view 10), an endearing character who promotes dance music in his own way walking daily in the streets of Paris with his cart and his PA.
(*) The Techno Parade was founded in 1998 in Paris by the association Technopol to promote the existence of electronic culture (wikipedia source).
