This iReport is part of an assignment:
Are you just like your mom? |
I Want To Be Like Mom
Am I turning into my mother? I only hope to be so blessed. My mother is the strongest woman that I know and my daughter who on her wedding day said to me, "I hope to be like you mom", made me realize that my mother had influenced me so greatly that it not only rubbed off on me, but on my daughter as well.
My mother (on right) is beautiful inside and out. She is charitable, compassionate and a hard-worker in and out of her home. She doesn't know a stranger and always makes room at her table for someone in need. She is tough as nails though when it comes to doing what is right and always taught us to be accountable for our actions. I certainly have inherited her charitable attitude and am diligent in teaching my children that every action has a consequence whether good or bad.
My daughter (center) has been blessed to inherit qualities both her grandmother and I have. She is kind, loving and is a righteous young women. She is a wonderful mother to her 5 month old son, and when I watch her care for him it is as if I am watching myself 23 years ago caring for her.
I am truly blessed to have such a wonderful relationship with my oldest daughter (I have 6 other daughters and 1 son) as well as my beautiful, ageless mother who inspires me to this day to reach for the stars.
