    2011 Fairy and Gnome Hunt

CNN PRODUCER NOTE     Ryn says this gnome walk was a small part of a magnificent arts festival. She shot the video September 17 at Annemarie Gardens in Solomons, Maryland. 'My young grandson really enjoyed looking for clues and finding the next fairy/gnome home. It was really interesting to see all the handmade fairy dwellings were put together, some by children, some by adults.'
    - nsaidi, CNN iReport producer

The first annual Fairy House and Gnome Home Walk and Tour was held in July 2011. The houses will be left in place until September 25 2011, for the young and young at heart to enjoy.  Annmarie Gardens in Solomans Island, Maryland,  is a magical place where the Patuxent  River meets the Chesapeake Bay.

Each fairy house or gnome home comes with a clue. Children one to one hundred can search for the next  clue and whimsical dwellings of these beloved little beings.

"The Fairy Walk" was created in memory of Mary Beth Harry, Southern Maryland artist and author. Her book "Bay Babies"   is all about sea life in the bay area.

There are forty-five fairy and gnome home's hiding in secret places along the wooded path of AnnMarie Garden's and Art Center.

We enjoyed the serendipity of the fairy hunt this past week end at the annual Arts Festival.
