Obama's acceptance speech |
Obama - Found the Courage?
Al Gore gave the best speech of the convention. We should all review the transcript - and hold it to our hearts. Because he spoke - without the soaring rhetoric - the hard truth of what America is facing.
Obama has clearly absorbed the lessons of Reverent Wright. He provided a magnificent end to this carefully orchestrated event. But he didn't have the courage to do what needed to be done.
Imagine if you will - if the Clintons had been on stage at the end of his speech. Then - not only could we embrace his ideals - but also have confidence to bring it to fruition.
It's what Abraham Lincoln did - and Obama didn't find the courage to do. Obama has my vote but after 8 years of George Bush - I don't have much hope.
In an era where Rove-ism equals Machaivellieanism - I only wish Obama found the courage - to do what needed to be done to win this election.
