    Tahrir Protests - Egypt

Today's protests (30-9-2011) in Tahrir Square began after Friday's prayers at around 1:30 PM, I heard from several friends that Sean Penn came to the square:)  There were almost 50,000 protesters around 5PM. The two main demands were:  1.The cessation of Emergency Law and 2.The end of Military Trials of civilians (which account for 12,000 civilians being detained in using military courts). Other major demand included the immediate transfer of power from the Supreme Council of the Armed Forces to a civilian entity.  The numbers unfortunately where not as much as we hoped for....    It is sad that most people don't understand or are too selfish to understand the reasons behind the Jan25 revolution, because if they did understand they would not be sitting doing nothing, they would be down in Tahrir Square demanding the rights of our country and people. we didn't go down for any personal gains.. no we all went down to make sure our children and everyones child would have a better future, our demands where universal: 1. To respect the Universal Declaration for Human Rights treaty ( To be treated as a Human Being), 2. To have decent and fair wages. 3. To have a balanced uncontrolled media, 4. To have an independent Judiciary system, 5. Decent Health Care for all. And yes the removal of the old regime, till this date that regime is still controlling the country.   What has SCAF really done in the last 9 months to convince us that they are putting our country and its people as a top priority? 1. So far 12,000 civilians have been detained since the Jan 25 revolution by military trials, while the criminals where let free from jails and left to terrorize our country, 2. Government salaries till this date range from 400 Le. to 200,000 - 500,000 Up to 3M a month, I do not have any written proof, these figures might be true, might not. try to find out, its your right to know, your paying for it. How could they possibly put a ceiling on government salaries, till this date they have not. Beblawy MoF mentioned once that the ceiling would be 36 times the minimum, that was said once, never mentioned again. 3. Media as in ( Local channels and Nile TV) are still controlled by SCAF and thus twist the truth and reality of things and used to push their agendas ( Protesters bad, protesters are criminals, protesters are threatening our security and economy) oh really . 4. we've seen the sentences of ( Ezz, Garana, and others, some guilty and some i am sure are innocent. these where all businessmen, with no political say, and thus used as scape goats, what about ( Zakareya Azmi, Fathy Sorour, Safwat Sherif, Mofid Shehab, Gamal, Alaa, Mubarak, Suzan) none of them have taken any sentences and they will never get a sentence in my view. if God forbid i was one of these fools, and got a 30 year sentence i will surely bring down everyone i could in order to save myself. thats why they won't get any sentence, simple fact, Eat shit. Tantawi's testimony oh i don't know, i didn't hear ehh emm,,,, :) 5. 70% of us have Virus C and kidney failure, the poor get to wait in lines for up to 24 hours to have a doctor look at him.

    9 months: No Fair Constitution
    9 months: No Security
9 months: Emergency Law reinstated, which is a breech to our current consistution since it should have been stopped on the 30th of September

SCAF is the old regime, they stood silent while our country got raped year after year, and now they are making sure that they're way of doing things don't change.
