Westboro Baptist Church Protests Ordainment of First Gay Presbyterian Minister in Madison, Wisconsin
October 8, 2011 - The first openly gay presbyterian minister, Scott Anderson, was ordained today at Covenant Presbyterian Church in Madison, Wisconsin. The ordainment was protested by members of the Westboro Baptist Church in Topeka, KS. A group of counter-protestors gathered to support the new minister. The approximate hour-long gathering by both groups was peaceful with no conflict.
