Putting Cambodia Flooding in Perspective
We get the news reported and see flooded areas, but in this report through the use of pictures, I want to put a little perspective into the amount of water that has accummulated in the span of six months. I had reported the high waters at Prek Kaddam, 28 kilometers north of Phnom Penh. Living in Phnom Penh and traveling to the countryside periodically with the camera, I was able to capture photos as recent as April 2011 and compare them with pictures taken in October 2011. As you scroll through the photos, take note of the back grounds where water levels have risen as well as roof tops to help identify the same locations.
