    Yes, people live in Galapagos

    CNN PRODUCER NOTE     janet92118 says she and her husband work in the Galapagos and have a home there, where they live part-time. She says the islands are 'majestic, but they are in danger' due to overbuilding. She says she believes this is because of locals and big companies, not tourists.

    Yes, people do live in Galapagos.

    I hear this question almost every day, “You live part-time in the Galapagos Islands?"

    Many people think you can only visit Galapagos by taking a cruise, but you can make any of the inhabited islands your destination not just a short stop on a cruise.

    I am lucky enough to have a home on Santa Cruz Island.

    When we are not it the islands we share our home with travelers all over the world, so they also can experience the beauty of the Galapagos Islands

    The Galapagos is a magical place where everyone should visit at least once in a lifetime as long as they always follow the rules of The Galapagos National Park.
