    Occupy protests in Jakarta

CNN PRODUCER NOTE     andsenal documented the Occupy Jakarta protests on Oct. 20 but believes the Occupy movement 'is a non-event. No one cares about their whiny little demands.' He estimated that there were 200 protesters at the event. He says they were protesting against a rise in oil prices, and to stop 'foreign interference and corruption'.

According to andsenal, the protest was not peaceful: 'There were riots with police. Provocateurs were arrested for disturbing the public order.'
    - jne2013, CNN iReport producer

Hundreds of people across Jakarta railed against corporate power, grinding poverty and government. Police arrested about 8 protesters who gathered Wednesday gathered near the Presidential Palace.
