Knitter Occupies Wall Street
Marsha, an unemployed seamstress, has been knitting caps, scarves and mittens for Occupy Wall Street protesters in Manhattan’s Zuccotti Park for 21 consecutive days, as of Oct. 20. The 56-year-old says she wants to represent her generation and is against economic inequity. In addition, she would like to end both the death penalty and the war in Iraq.
"Everyone here has certain issues that are special to them," Marsha says. "I want things to change and get better in America so it will be good for my five grandkids."
